Liaising with the Project Architect and Library Director on the preparation of interior furniture layout, specifications and finishes for their library expansion project, we provided complete project management of the interior fit-out, including the procurement of all FF&E, installation and aftercare.

The first floor meeting rooms and storage areas were transformed into a Post Graduate Lounge and collaborative meeting space. The objective was to create an ‘airport lounge style’ environment, with multiple informal and formal locations, to stimulate these mature students.

Albert B. Alkek Library

Texas State University

This was Phase I of a larger project to develop more casual seating and collaborative study areas throughout the 9 story campus library. The idea was to prototype seating concepts and placements, and to obtain feedback from both staff and students. By combining flexibility and mobility, this Prototype space is providing guidance for future expansion to other floors in the library.
